Pittsburgh Pirates Bae Ji-hwan used his quick feet to record a double.

Bae Ji-hwan started as the number one hitter and center fielder in the 2023 Major League Baseball game against the Atlanta Braves held at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on the 9th (Korean time) and achieved a record of 1 hit in 4 at-bats.

The only hit he hit that day was his 14th double of the season. He went on a three-game hitting streak, maintaining a season batting average of 0.241.스포츠토토

Bae Ji-hwan produced a long hit in his first at-bat. He caught starter Bryce Elder’s 89.6 miles per hour (approximately 144.2 km) sinker and made the batted ball fall inside the left field foul line. Bae Ji-hwan ran straight to second base, slid, and was ruled safe. However, he failed to score due to a missed follow-up hit.

After that, he was silent at bat. Bae Ji-hwan was blocked by a grounder to shortstop in the 3rd inning with one out and runners on second base, and he appeared as the leadoff hitter in the 6th inning, but ended up hitting a fly ball to left field.

Bae Ji-hwan reached base with a grounder to shortstop in the 8th inning with no outs on first base. He stepped on second base when follow-up batter Brian Reynolds hit, but Key Brian Hayes’ batted ball headed straight toward the second baseman, resulting in a double play.

Pittsburgh (65-76), which failed to win two games in a row, lost 2-8 as starting pitcher Mitch Keller gave up 12 hits (2 home runs) and 8 runs in 5 innings.
