Lee Jung-hwan, 32, a three-year veteran of the Korean 토토사이트Professional Golf (KPGA) Tour, has set the stage for his third career victory at the KB Financial Livechampionship (700 million won in prize money).

Lee carded seven birdies and a bogey in the second round of the tournament, which continued on Saturday at the par-72 Blackstone GC in Icheon, South Korea. His two-day total of 7-under par 137 is tied for the lead with Kim Min-soo.

Lee, who made his debut in 2010, accumulated two career wins before enlisting in the Korean Army at the end of 2018. He returned to the tour for the 2021 season, but he hadn’t been able to recapture the accuracy that had made him the “Iron Man” before his enlistment, and he was even hotter today after hitting 77.7 per cent of his greens in regulation on the first day of the tournament. “My shots were all on the pin, so I had a lot of chances,” Lee said, “and if I just focus on my game, I’ll be able to win.”

Bae Yong-jun and Yeom Seo-hyun are tied for third at five under par, while Kim Min-kyu is tied for fifth (four under par). Long-hitter Chung Chan-min is tied for eighth at three under par, while five-time winner Seo Yo-seop is tied for 20th at even par.
