Doosan Bears Choi Won-jun showed good pitching and solidified his position as a starting pitcher in the team.

Doosan defeated Kiwoom Heroes 5-3 in an away demonstration game held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul today (27th).

Starter Choi Won-jun laid the foundation for victory by blocking 6 innings with 2 hits, 2 walks, 3 strikeouts and 2 runs (1 earned run).

A total of 89 balls were thrown, and a mix of fastballs (47), sliders (27), curveballs (11), and forkballs (4) achieved a quality start (QS 6 innings or more, 3 earned runs or less).

At the end of the 6th inning with a 3 to 2 lead, third baseman Yang Seok-hwan’s defensive mistake and Kim Hui-jip’s walk caused a two-out 1st and 2nd base crisis, but Lee Hyung-jong handled the fly ball and overcame the crisis.

Kiwoom took over the baseline.

At the end of the 3rd inning, Kim Hye-seong scored the first run with a one-out 1st and 3rd base with a sacrifice fly.

At the end of the 4th inning, Doosan’s defensive mistake took advantage of an additional run.

Left fielder Shin Seong-hyeon토토사이트, who was replaced, missed Lee Jung-hoo’s batted ball.

Lee Jung-hoo took advantage of the gap and ran to second base, and Lee Hyung-jong, the follow-up hitter, scored an extra run with a heavy hit.

However, Doosan swung a bat at the beginning of the 6th inning when Kiwoom starter Eric Yokishi went down from the mound.

Jose Rojas, a new foreign hitter, opened the door with a superior solo shot in a safe situation.

This is Rojas’ first home run in the KBO league demonstration game.

Doosan continued its one-out opportunity with an infield hit by Heo Kyung-min, a heavy hit by Shin Seong-hyun, and a walk by Yang Seok-hwan.

Kang Seung-ho’s ground ball and Lee Yu-chan’s right-handed hit added two points and succeeded in a 3-2 comeback.

Kiwoom put Kim Seon-gi on the mound at the beginning of the 7th inning, but the run continued.

After Jeong Su-bin got a walk, runner Jo Soo-haeng stole second base, and Lohas called home with a double from right field.

In the continued one-out third base, Shin Seong-hyun made up for the earlier defensive mistake with a timely hit.

Kiwoom added a point with Kim Dong-hyun’s timely hit at the end of the 9th inning, but it had nothing to do with the win or loss.
