The Special Olympics is one of the world’s three major Olympic Games, following the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and is the world’s largest sports festival for people with developmental disabilities. The Special Olympics will be held in Berlin, Germany from June 9 to 26, 2023, with 7,000 athletes from 180 countries participating.

SOK plans to dispatch a 156-member Korean delegation, including 109 players and partners, 32 coaches, 12 staff, and 3 executives, to Berlin. SOK has finally selected 109 players and partners through lottery among the list of players selected according to the selection criteria, and will appoint 32 coaches through interviews after screening by the Performance Improvement Committee.
